About

More about my panic inducing life…

SO (Significant Other) and I moved cross country twice now – once with our beloved dog and back again, almost a decade later, with an additional two toddlers (let’s call them Batman and Robin). Turns out, even though I was “taking care” of the kids, I was so wrapped up in just getting myself through the day as a sleep deprived new mother of two, that I missed the fact that my SO was taking care of EVERYTHING including me, the move, a new house, and a high powered job. I find that I do think of SO as superhuman, which allowed me to shirk my partnership responsibilities.

Now, I am no slacker – When I was seven years old, I started my own odd job company serving my neighbors, began a real job at 15, have a Master degree plus additional degrees and certifications. I ended my tenure on the Director level at a nonprofit as COVID erupted. And one could argue, as my family has (another bone of contention), that raising two babies is overwhelming. However, in the high stress, fast paced environment where we picked to live, it is not an option to cop out by being overwhelmed. I have to find other ways to succeed despite the enormity of the tasks and mind numbing toddler games. Sure, COVID life has not been peachy for anyone, but that is not an excuse to lose myself to anxiety.

So, I am dedicated to giving you the best in real life debacles, with a focus on overcoming panic attacks, anxiety, and hopefully providing some motivation along the way.
